Roma Film Festival III edition - Hotel Sonya***
After the first two extraordinarily popular editions with the public, the ROMEFILMFEST will be back from October 22 to 31, 2008 with films, retrospectives, meetings, exhibitions, concerts and major international stars.
Once again, this third edition will be based on a blend of popular vocation and quality culture. This combination enables the event to attract both film fans as well as those who have never taken part in festival before.
The entire city of Rome will provide the magnificent backdrop to the event, with the Auditorium Parco della Musica (designed by Renzo Piano) and the Cinema Village acting as its nerve centre.
This third edition of the RomeFilmFest is put on by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma and promoted by the Fondazione Musica per Roma, the Municipality of Rome, the Rome Chamber of Commerce, the Province of Rome and the Lazio Region.
Goffredo Bettini is President of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma and Francesca Via is its Director General.
Innovations already announced for the third edition include a Focus on Brazil, with films, music, exhibitions and meetings. Then there will be a day dedicated to Tibetan cinema and documentaries, which will also involve the participation of the Dalai Lama.
