All travelers are coming to Rome with a background of information they got to learn during their life, many of us remember the history of Coliseum and gladiators, others keep in mind the Trevi Fountain for having seen thefamous movies as Three Coins in the Fountain or La Dolce Vita of Federico Fellini. Many people remember as well the Spanish steps, the Vatican city, St. Peter's Square, Bernini's statues, Roman Pantheon or Agripa's Pantheon and many other places of historical and artistic interest. These few routes are an invitation and a little help for you to build a more complete image of Rome and thus, be able to compare the real city you are going to see with Rome you have always had in your imagination. If you plan a short stay in Rome and would like to have a hint on how to spend these two days in Rome, follow our suggestions:

On the first day we suggest you a route that starts in St. Peter's square and then follows with point B - Castel Sant'Angelo. Then as you cross the Tiber river you are in point C - Navona square, where you walk throughout by seeing the Pantheon (point D), Colonna square and till you come to point E – Spain square

What to see in Rome?

We suggest our guests to walk to Republic square (Piazza della Repubblica) for about 5 minutes and then take subway line A in direction Battistini and step out on Ottaviano – San Pietro stop, then walk to the Vatican city.

After you are finished with the Vatican city route, go down the Conciliazione street to Castel Sant'Angelo (other important attraction), then cross the Tiber river by the bridge bearing the same name.

Once you crossed the Tiber, you can take Via Panico street untilPiazza Coronariand keep on strait ahead till you are in Piazza Navona.
Walk it through from North to South and afterward take Via della Cucagna till Piazza S. Pantaleo, cross the avenue Corso Vittorio Emanuele go through Piazza della Cancelleria and then you are in Campo de' Fiori, where you can also visit Piazza Farnese.

After having visited these two sites, walk through Via dei Giubbonari until you are inLargo Argentina,an important reference point for bus connections and taxi stops, where you can look at the ruins of 4 roman temples: the most ancient one is dated III or IV century B.C.
Walking in direction North you can then cross the avenue Vittorio Emanuele again and take Via del Largo Argentina, walk through the Piazza Santa Chiara and keep forward on Via della Rotonda until you are in front of thePantheon,a famous temple built in year 27 B.C. and defined by Michelangelo as “not a human design but an angel's one”.
After you have visited this marvel, take direction East and walk though Via del Seminario until Piazza di Pietra and discover the Hadrianeum or the Adrian's Temple, built in 145 in honor of Emperor Adrian.
Afterward follow Via Bergamaschi until Piazza Colonnawhere you will find the marble column of Marc Aurelius, dating back to the end of the XVI century, on one of the two sides of this square you can see Alberto Sordi's Gallery placed exactly in Via del Corso – one of the most important shopping avenues in Rome where you can find the most famous brands and boutiques.

Follow in direction East throughout Via delle Muratte until the famousFontana di Trevia magnificent and impressing baroque fountain.
Keep on going North-East through Via del Lavatore and continue then throughout Via in Arcione until Largo del Tritone square and then Via del Tritone until Piazza Barberinibuilt around 1625, where we can admire the Triton Fountain, work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, realized in 1643 during the rule of Pope Urban VIII, then continue in direction South-East through Via delle Quattro Fontane, crossing Via XX Settembre, where the Four Fountains represent the 4 rivers (Tiber, Arno, Diana and Giunone) and were all built in 1588. If you continue through Via delle Quattro Fontane, crossing Via Nazionale (other important avenue in Rome) you'll notice that at a certain point Via delle Quattro Fontane changes name into Via Agostino Depretris, and follows up to Via del Viminale where under number 58, you'll find our hotel.
