Second day in Rome:

Like on the first day, we suggest you to go out after the breakfast that our Hotel Sonya offers ad buffet. As you get out of the hotel's main entrance you should turn left two times until you see Via Agostino Depetris and continue strait ahead till Via Cavour, where you'll find theSaint Mary Major Basilica(in the middle of a square with the same name), follow in direction South throughout Via Cavour till Saint Peter in Chains Basilica, known as well for hosting theMichelangelo's statute of Moses.Continue walking through Via Cavour till Via Eudossiana, where you turn twice to left untill you are in Via Terme di Tito and then walk up to theColosseum, famous Roman amphitheater. After having visited this marvel, follow the direction South until the Constantin's Arch, a triumph arch that Emperor Constantin had built around 312-325 A.D., continue in direction West through Via dei Fori Imperiali (Imperial Forums street) or just walk in the middle of the Palatino. This last track is a real open air museum, with many points of interest, as for example Tito's Arch, erected by emperor Tito around 79-81 A.D. Afterward, by continue in direction West you arrive to theVenice Square and the Capitol. The Venice square (Piazza Venezia) is a famous Roman square and the Capitol (Campidoglio) is one of the Rome's hills with lots of points and works of interest. An extra advice we would like to give you is to down Teatro Marcello street, see this theater and then follow through Via Petroselli till Piazza della Bozza della Verità (Mouth of the Truth square), where you can seethe famous sculpture with this name. The follow in direction North through Via Petroselli, continuing through Via Teatro Marcello and you cross again Piazza Venezia (with the monument on your right) till you see Traian's Column. Afterward search for Via Nazionale, that you should follow till Via Agostino Depetris, where you turn twice to right just in front of the Internal Ministry in Via del Viminale.
